Journal of Pakistan Orthopaedic Association (JPOA) is the Official Publication of Pakistan Orthopaedic Association (POA) which is a registered, non profit academic association of qualified orthopaedic surgeons of Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Journal of Pakistan Orthopaedic Association considers manuscripts on topics pertaining to musculoskeletal system. Our journal has  ISSN 2076-8966 (Print) and ISSN 2077-320X (Online) Our goal is to update readers of original research conducted nationally and internationally. The target viewers of the journal include orthopaedic and trauma surgeons,plastic surgeons, physiotherapists, researchers, residents, students, nurses and health care professionals.

The Journal is registered with Pakistan Medical Commission(PMC). It is recognized by Higher Education Commission(HEC) of Pakistan in Y category. The journal is  indexed with Scopemed, Google Scholar, Eurasian Scientific Journal Index, ResearchBib, CiteFactor, DRJI,IJI Factor Indexing,EuroPub, ISI(International Scientific Index) and Pakmedinet.com. The journal has google scholar Hirsch h-index: 4 (a=4.50, m=0.15, 17 cites=23.6% coverage) and Age-weighed citation rate: 24.37 (sqrt=4.94), 7.36/author.

The aim of Journal of Pakistan Orthopaedic Association (JPOA) is to encourage and promote research and publication in the field of orthopaedics and trauma by publishing peer reviewed high quality research articles. The journal publishes editorial, review articles, original articles, case reports,Case series and Letter to editor on topics (adult and paediatric) pertaining to musculoskeletal system.  The Journal’s website(:http://jpoa.org.pk/index.php/upload) provides open and free access to all visitors for viewing all full text articles published. By making full text articles freely available, JPOA accelerates research, learning and authors recognition for their contribution in their field.

The publishing frequency of JPOA is four issues per year (i.e., March, June, September and December). The authors are not charged for publication or printing of their articles as Pakistan Orthopaedic Association (POA) bears all the expenses.
