The Journal of Contemporary Orthodontics is an official online publication of the Indian Orthodontic Society. This is a clinically oriented journal, relating to the speciality of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics with the objective of disseminating peer-reviewed, quality scientific material. The journal invites original research, systematic reviews, case reports, innovations, technique clinics, book reviews and other related manuscripts for publishing. The journal has an effective standardised system to adhere to strict ethical publishing protocol with a thorough check for plagiarism.

Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with “Uniform requirements” of the The Journal of Contemporary Orthodontics as per guidelines by the International Committee of Medical Journals Editors (Updated December 2019). Aims and Scope
The journal publishes high-quality research work in all fields of preclinical, clinical, and experimental orthodontics and orofacial orthopedics including original studies, case reports, reviews, and short communications with a major focus on successful diagnostic procedures, imaging techniques, bracket, and archwire materials, extraction, and impaction concerns, orthognathic surgery, TMJ disorders, removable appliances, and adult therapy. The scope of the journal also includes dentofacial orthopedics, dental materials, orthodontic-periodontal problems, orthognathic surgeries, post orthodontic restorations, and plastic surgery.
