Abstract :
Introduction: There exist deep-rooted stereotypes regarding the roles and
responsibilities of women and men in the family. The working women face tough
challenges in maintaining a balance between their health and work, i.e., personal
and professional life. This affects their physical, emotional and social well-being.
Aims & Objectives: To study ‘women of 21st century and their work and health’. To
compare various health aspects and work-related aspects of working and nonworking married women. We hypothesize that at least 60% women in today’s world
are satisfied with life.
Design: It is a cross-sectional comparative study. The study was conducted among 35
housewives and 35 working women. The study took place from 1st to 10th July 2016.
They were asked questions related to their work and health.
