Abstract :
Bullying in schools is a matter of concern. Research on bullying in India is
limited. While attempts have been made to understand the impact of bullying on
the child who is victimized, it leaves a vast area of understanding the potential
bully as ignored. As educators and mental health professionals, it is of great
significance to understand both the victims and the perpetrators of bullying. This
research article aims to delve into understanding the concept of bullying, the
existing gender differences, the factors which contribute in the making of a
potential bully and the interventions which can be undertaken by the educational
and the mental health community.
