Abstract :

Peripheral ossifying fibroma (POF) is a relatively uncommon gingival growth usually located in maxillary anterior region and predominantly affects females. It is postulated to appear secondary to irritation or trauma. Definitive diagnosis is established by histological examination, which reveals the presence of cellular connective tissue with focal calcifications.
