Abstract :
Gandhi is fairly catholic in his conception of
God. God to him is only another name for
Reality, Truth, and the Law of Harmony that
pervades the whole universe. ‘I do not regard
God as a person. Truth for me is God, and
God’s Law and God are not different things or
facts, in the sense that an earthly king and his
law are different. But God and His Laws abide
everywhere and govern everything,’1 which
Gandhi shared not only with the followers of
almost all religions but even with those, who
did not profess any religion.
