Abstract :
Chondrosarcoma is a malignant tumour of mesenchymal origin, after osteosarcoma. It is the second most
common bone tumour. It is relatively a slow-growing tumour and is mostly detected in the base of the skull
and the anterior maxilla. Here, we report a very distinct case of chondrosarcoma in maxillary sinus. A 65-
year-old man reported with a tumour on the right maxillary sinus region. CT imaging showed an abnormal
mass destructing surrounding tissues. Our case shows that radiography combined with histopathology
is necessary to make the final diagnosis. The presented case revealed that chondrosarcoma can be a
heterogeneous tumour.
