Abstract :

Child abuse is defined as intentional or unintentional behavior by an adult that negatively affects a child's health and development. Child abuse with its complex causes and serious consequences is a public health problem that threatens children's health significantly. On the other hand, emotional abuse is a type of abuse that is defined as any action that may cause the child to be deprived of the affection and attention they need. It is a type of abuse that is difficult to detect because of reasons such as this type of abuse is usually experienced within the family and the negative consequences do not appear immediately. This difficulty causes the deepening of the trauma and the long-lasting effects of the psychological damage it creates. Emotional abuse has many different negative effects on the child, including physical, psychological, and developmental. In order to minimize these effects, professionals such as teachers, pediatricians, nurses, psychologists, child development specialists, and social workers should carry out multidisciplinary studies. Because it is necessary to prevent emotional abuse in order to raise healthy individuals in all aspects and to build a healthy society
