Abstract :
Odontomas are relatively asymptomatic odontogenic hamartomatous malformations, commonly in association with impacted or retained primary teeth. They appear as small, solitary or multi-layered radio-opaque lesions which often interfere with tooth eruption. These are diagnosed during routine dental examinations. This case report describes the case of a compound odontoma in a 10-year-old girl associated with an impacted permanent left maxillary incisor. A surgical excision was performed and a histopathological examination revealed a compound odontoma.
