Abstract :
The aim of this research study is to examine the impact of drivers' attitude towards risk-taking, traffic safety, and personality on driving behavior; role of frustration tolerance among drivers. Moreover, the study also investigates the relationship between predictors and outcomes. The study was based on a correlational research design and relationship explored by using survey method. The data was collected from the bike and car drivers present in district Sargodha, Pakistan between the ages of 18 to 35 and 36 to 55 years. Driving Behavior Inventory-General Driver Stress Scale (DBI-Gen; Gulian, Matthews, et al., 1991), Risk-Taking Attitude, Attitude towards Traffic Safety (Rundmo & Ulleberg, 2000), (NEO-FFI) Self-Report Big Five Inventory Scale, and Symptom’s Checklist Revised (SCL-R) are used for the data collection. Linear regression and correlational analysis applied for testing the hypothesis. There is a significant relationship between driving behavior, risk-taking attitude and traffic safety. Frustration tolerance used as moderator in the study. The current work has a wide range of practical and empirical applications. This study is an important addition in the existing body of knowledge. These findings help the researchers who want to work and study on drivers and driving behavior.
