Abstract Social science research plays a crucial role in understanding and addressing complex societal issues. However, the pursuit of knowledge must be balanced with ethical considerations to protect the rights and well-being of research participants. This paper delves into the ethical challenges inherent in social science research, exploring areas such as informed consent, data privacy, power dynamics, and cultural sensitivity.Drawing upon relevant theories and best practices, the paper proposes a framework for navigating these challenges and conducting ethical research that contributes meaningfully to knowledge production.
