Abstract :

According to Webster’s Law Dictionary, the word “partition” means “a separation by a court of real estate owned jointly into two or more separately owned parcels, so that each of the former joint owners may enjoy having his or her own share in the estate”. The article is divided into five phases wherein the first phase there is an interpretation of word partition by law dictionary, by the textual wordings of Smriti and old traditional Hindu law schools.
