Abstract :

Background & Objectives: Acute encephalitis syndrome (AES) is a major cause of morbidity & mortality in India. Studies regarding clinical & imaging features of AES & their prognostic significance are rare. Hence this study was conducted to identify clinical & radiological features of AES &prognostic significance of them. Methodology: Hospital based prospective study. 628 samples were selected by complete enumeration method. Data were collected by using a pre-tested pre-designed semi-structured schedule.
