Abstract :
A simple new RP-HPLC method was established for the forced degradation studies of Ondansetron tablets.
A mixture of methanol and tetra butyl ammonium hydrogen sulphate was employed with flow rate 0.6 ml/min on
Shimadzu HPLC system with Agilent extended C18 column. The regression equation was y = 102382x + 49245 with
correlation coefficient 0.9998. Forced degradation studies were conducted by exposing Ondansetron to acidic,
alkaline, oxidation, photolytic and thermal stress conditions.
