Abstract :

Social networking sites are widely used that enable individuals to connect and share information. These platforms also influence how people communicate about personal health, treatment, and healthcare providers. People can access and utilize online health information related to specific health issues. Self-esteem enhance psychological well-being requires a strong sense of self-worth. This research aims to investigate the relationship between social networking sites, E-health literacy and self-esteem among young adults using cross-sectional research design with correlational analysis. This study was conducted to fill the literature gap and find valuable implication. Data is gathered from young adults, ages 18 to 25, using a self-report measure and correlation research design. Quantitative survey method was used. Data was collected by convenient sampling technique. In order to determine the result data analysis was done using SPSS. Spearman correlation was used to find out the relationship between the variables. A survey was conducted on 250 young adults. Three scales were administered on the respondents: social networking sites, e-health literacy and self-esteem scale. The study showed that there is a positive relationship between social networking sites and e-health literacy. The study showed that there is positive relation between e-health literacy and self-esteem. These results highlight the need for interventions to boost young adults' well-being and self-esteem through better e-health literacy and responsible social networking sites use, offering new insights for educators, health professionals, and policymakers.
