Abstract :
Open source software is software that users have the ability to run, copy, distribute, study, modify, share, and improve for any purpose. Open source library software does not need the initial cost of commercial software, but it does allow libraries to have more control over their working environment. Library professionals should be vigilant. The advantages of open source software and should involve its development. They must have basic knowledge. In the selection, installation and maintenance.
