Abstract :
An interesting development method for the synthesis of 5, 6-dihydro-naphtho[g]benzo[b][1,8]naphthyridine
derivatives were prepared by microwave irradiation. A facile and rapid procedure by one pot three component
reaction of 2-chloroquinoline-3-carbaldehydes (1a-e), 1-tetralone (2) and Ammonium acetate (3) using strong base
in polar aprotic solvent is described.
