Abstract :

Abstract Allama Iqbal, due to his many engagements, sometimes paid attention to the arrangement and publication of his first collection of Urdu poetry and sometimes neglected it. Iqbal's Urdu poetry was extremely popular among the people. His poetry was being published in various newspapers and magazines, or when he himself recited it in gatherings, people copied it. There were typographical errors in the poetry published in newspapers and magazines. Apart from this, there were many poems, words and poems which Iqbal did not want to publish. Nevertheless, there was a desire in his heart that this work should be completed as soon as possible. Friends and admirers were also constantly requesting through letters that he should compile a collection of his poetry. Requests for the publication of poems were coming from various places.Selection for publication was a difficult phase for him. Some of his poems were of a private nature and he believed that the public had no right to read them, some of them he destroyed. Iqbal compiled a collection of Urdu poetry. He started the work from about 1911, but due to lack of free time, he could not complete this work till 1924.In this article, an attempt has been made to  find out what were the  problems that delayed the publication of Bang-e-Dara.
