Abstract :
The main purpose of this study is to determine the tribes that lived in Aleppo province in 1909
and to give information about the households and population numbers of these tribes. For this purpose, the documents in the Presidential Ottoman Archive were scanned and those related to the subject were to the research. Apart from archive documents, research and analysis works were also used in the study.
The study consists of four main parts. In the introduction part, the main content, method, problematic
and importance of the research are emphasized. In the first chapter, after mentioning the location,
population and administrative structure of Aleppo province, information is given about the general
situation of the tribes. In the second section explains the tribes, household numbers and populations
identified in the Aleppo province in 1909. In conclusion part, the findings and numerical data obtained as a result of the research are evaluated.
