Abstract :

Green infrastructure promotes landscaping in urban resilience to strengthen sustainable development. In addition to its ecological functions, green infrastructure, as a planning tool, contributes to social and economic benefits, leading to the achievement of sustainable, resilient, inclusive and competitive urban areas. In this narrative review, we noted that the concept of green infrastructure is surpassed by several phases of evolution from the establishment of an urban green spaces network towards the production of ecosystem services to finally migrate towards nature-based solutions. These green infrastructures represent tools for sustainable development, adaptation to climate change and the recovery of biodiversity.
