Abstract :

Ecology and biodiversity is an asset of the environment. Here in this study, the ecological status i.e. terrestrial and aquatic in and around Victor Port (near to Pipavav Port) in District Amreli (Gujarat) has been presented. The creek Adopat on which the nearby villages are dependent for fishing activity is major area of interest. Sometimes dolphins have been observed in this creek, which are highly intelligent marine mammals and are part of the family of toothed whales that includes orcas and pilot whales. Some of the animals observed in the study area are protected under schedule I and II have to be protected and not disturbed at all, for the same, the conservation plan should be implemented for entire life of the project as per suggestions in conservation and from forest officials.
