Abstract :
In the month of December 2019 a bunch of unidentified viral pneumonia was reported in china. One
month after the first appearance of this deadly virus WHO declared it as a Public Health Emergency of
International Concern. Finally, a new coronavirus, putatively named 2019-nCoV was establishes as the
causative pathogen of this outbreak by the World Health Organization (WHO) on January 12, 2020.
In spite of stringent universal containment and quarantine efforts, the prevalence of COVID-19 continues
to grow. In response to this universal outbreak, we analyze the present state of awareness surrounding
COVID-19.
In this study we reviewed, the causative agent, transmission, risk among health care workers, sign and
symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and management of the disease are all reviewed.
