Abstract :
The stroke incidence in India is much higher than western developed countries. It ranged from 105 – 152/100,000 person/year. Large no. of patients suffering from hemiplegia are visiting Panchakarma OPD of Govt. Ayurved College attached hospital, vadodara. A clinical study conducted on 27 patients out of which 20 patients who completed the course were selected for data and clinical presentation. Atherosclerosis in a large intracranial vessel is the common cause
of ischemic stroke in India. Hypertension, diabetes, smoking, high lipids, old age are common risk factors.
