Abstract :
Abstract Islam has contributed to many principles that have shaped Western civilization. Numerous foundations of modern sciences find their roots in Islamic teachings. The pursuit of knowledge in Europe owes much to the influence of Muslims, and significant scientific principles have been articulated by distinguished Muslim scholars. Allama Muhammad Iqbal asserted that the beginning of modern science occurred when Islamic rulers engaged in inductive research to comprehend the essence of things and establish control over them. Islam has exerted a spiritual influence across various facets of human life. Hence, it is inaccurate to postulate that Islam and modern sciences are incompatible. This research paper aims to compare Allama Iqbal's ideas with Quranic and scientific references, illustrating that, at one point, Muslims opted the Greek thoughts. However, as the inadequacy of such thinking became evident, they delved into subjects ranging from mathematics to astronomy, medicine to psychology, and logic to philosophy. Through vigilant observations and experiences, they crafted new paths. Simultaneously, according to Allama Iqbal, Europe remains entangled in the swamp of prejudice, while the credit for laying the foundations of modern sciences belongs to Muslims.
