Abstract :
The increase in usage of distributed generation(DG) have much impact on configuration and operation
mode of power system. When DG units are connected to a transmission network, the system will be losing
coordination among the network protection devices. Fault type and Fault line are identified by using Neural
Network for a transmission network with dg's are used. This method can be able to determine the accurate
fault type and fault line by using Neural network. Different fault currents data are considered to verify the
accuracy of the fault type and faulty line of transmission system with DG's using MATLAB.
