Abstract :
Auricular hematoma is a collection of serosanguinous fluid between perichondrium and cartilage. It is mostly caused by direct blunt trauma or other injury to pinna. Acute drainage, postprocedural techniques and proper compliance is required for preventing recurrence and deformity. We report a case of 24-year-old male, who presented to us with auricular hematoma after blunt trauma to pinna. Incision and drainage along with button suturing was done, however due to poor compliance, there is formation of granulation tissue at the suture site, which resolved with regular dressing and strict follow-up.
