Abstract :

The development of a non-invasive periodontal assessment tool with ultrasound technology holds great promise for providing real-time, high-yield information on clinical features like pocket depth, attachment level, tissue thickness, histological change, calculus, bone morphology, and tooth structure evaluation for fracture cracks. In the field of medicine, ultrasonic equipment has been shown to be successful and efficient in treating periodontal disease. The goal of developing microultrasonic tools is to enhance root-surface debridement. The acoustic field mapping technique using dye and paper revealed cavitational activity in an ultrasonic cleaning solution. Comparing piezosurgery to carbide and diamond bursts, favorable osseous remodeling and repair were achieved. Ultrasound therapy has the potential to promote bone healing following osteotomy or osteodistraction in addition to its effects on fracture repair.
