Abstract :

Abstract The study was conducted to check the role of parental social support in students academic achievement at secondary level in Gilgit Baltistan. The study was descriptive in nature and survey method was used to collect the data. The population consisted of all the secondary level students of Tehsil Roundu, district Skurdu. Simple random sampling technique was used to draw the sample from the population, and the researcher selected (320) students as a sample. A questionnaire based on Five Point Likert Scale was developed for students. The researcher personally collected the data. Statistical Software for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to examine the data with the help of frequency and percentage. It was found that most of the respondents were agreed that the parents help whenever need and they help in emotional development and support me in everything. Moreover, respondents stayed agreed that the parents are the source of comfort for children they can count on parents when thing go wrong.
