Abstract :
Abstract Antibiotic resistance is a global health concern that has resulted in increasing morbidity, mortality, and healthcare costs. To address this issue, antibiotic stewardship programmes (ASPs) have been implemented in healthcare settings. The purpose of this study is to look into the implementation and effectiveness of antibiotic stewardship programmes in hospitals and other healthcare settings in terms of reducing antibiotic resistance and encouraging sensible antibiotic usage. It delves into the numerous tactics used in ASPs, their impact on antibiotic prescribing practises, patient outcomes, and implementation issues. A thorough assessment of the research emphasises the relevance of ASPs in lowering antibiotic resistance and provides insights into future directions for improving their effectiveness.
