Abstract :
A study was conducted to compare the effectiveness of magnesium sulphate dressing versus cold compress
in patients with intravenous infiltrations. The research method adopted for the study was quasi-experimental
approach. Samples were divided in two groups, each consisting 30. Purposive sampling technique was used
to select the sample for the study. The difference in reduction in intravenous infiltration of both groups is
statistically significant; investigator feels that the magnesium sulphate dressing is better than cold compress
for reducing intravenous infiltration.
