Abstract :
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common disorder that affects the large intestine (colon). Irritable bowel syndrome commonly causes cramping, abdominal pain, bloating, gas, diarrhea and constipation. IBS is a chronic condition that you will need to manage long term. Irritable bowel syndrome, is a disorder of the intestine that carries no structural lesions or pathophysiological explanations. Between 10 and 20% of the population in developed countries suffer from IBS, with almost 75% of those people reporting symptoms being female. While IBS is a widespread condition, only 20-30% of sufferers consult a doctor.
