Abstract :
NREG Act is an important step towards the realization of the right to work. NREGS scheme also expected to enhance peoples livelihoods on a sustained basis, by developing the economic and social infrastructure in rural areas. The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 MGNREGA guarantees 100 days of employment in a financial year to any rural household whose adult members are willing to do unskilled manual work.
